Anvil ("the App") is a Shopify app operated by Astoylo ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the App accesses, how we use it, and how we handle deletion. By installing the App, you agree to this policy.
When you install Anvil on your Shopify store, Shopify provides us with your store domain and an access token so the App can function. We store the option-set configurations you create — field labels, field types, choices, and targeting rules — associated with your store. We also store basic session information required to authenticate the App inside your Shopify admin.
Anvil does not collect or store your customers' personal information. When a customer fills in a custom field (for example, engraving text), that value is submitted to your store and saved by Shopify on the order — not by us. We never receive, store, or process your customers' personal data on our own systems.
We use the data described above solely to provide and operate the App's functionality — rendering your configured options on your storefront and saving your configurations. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
We host the App and its database with third-party infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf solely to run the service. These providers are bound to keep the data confidential.
We keep your option-set configurations only while the App is installed. When you uninstall the App, or when Shopify sends a shop redaction request, we delete the configuration data associated with your store. We comply with Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, and shop/redact); because we store no customer personal data, the customer requests have no personal data to return or erase.
Depending on your location, you may have rights under regulations such as the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to access or delete data we hold about your store. To make a request, contact us at the address below.
